Numbing

Topical numbing cream is applied for around 15 minutes so the treatment feels comfortable.

Mapping and treatment

Filler is placed gently with a fine needle. We work in stages, checking the shape from every angle as we go.

2-week settle and review

Final shape settles by 2 weeks. We invite you back for a quick review so you're confident in the result.

Aftercare

Easy to follow, written down for you

You'll go home with everything written out, but here's the short version.

Avoid kissing, straws and hot drinks for 24 hours
Use a cold compress over a clean cloth for swelling
No lip products for 24 hours, no makeup over the area
Avoid alcohol, intense exercise and saunas for 24 hours
Stay well hydrated and sleep slightly elevated on night one

Will it look obvious or 'done'?

No. We use small amounts and focus on shape rather than size. Most clients are told they look well rather than asked what they've had.

How much swelling should I expect?

Swelling is normal for 24 to 48 hours and can make lips look bigger than the final result. Everything settles to your true outcome by around 2 weeks.

Does it hurt?

Numbing cream is used and the filler itself contains a local anaesthetic. Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure rather than pain.

How long do lip fillers last?

Typically 9 to 12 months. Top-ups before the filler fully dissolves usually require less product to maintain the shape.

Can lip filler be dissolved?

Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with a separate enzyme treatment if ever needed, although it's very rarely required when results are built gradually.

Russian vs heart shape, what's the difference?

Russian lips focus on lift and a defined cupid's bow, giving height. Heart shape emphasises a soft pout in the centre. We'll recommend what suits your natural lip best.
